Apple Discounts

Hi Everyone,

What is the best way you've found to score discounts on Apple products?

For example:
Apple via Cashrewards - 1.50% cashback
Discounts on gift cards for re-sellers of Apple products - JBHIFI, Harvey Norman etc
Get a student to buy on your behalf

What's the best discount you've found? Please share!

  • You don't actually need a student to buy on your behalf. They rarely ask for ID.
I just bought AppleCare+ over the phone at the Higher Ed rate by telling them I work at a uni. I don't think they even asked which uni.

  • If you want a customised computer (more RAM or SSD space), you can't get it from JB or Harvey or OfficeWorks but these three will make any config and have Apple ship it directly to you:
    www.ifrog.com.au
    www.megabuy.com.au
    www.buymac.com.au

    • iFrog sounds suss because they only want payment by bank transfer. I just bought a MacBook Pro from them and it did arrive a couple of weeks later.

  • David Jones for iphones / ipads (not sure if they stock watch or mac)- they will price match other Australian stores including mobile citi etc and 10% off GC from entertainment book.

    • They sell both Apple Watch and iMacs but the price matching policy is basically only for stores with a bricks and mortar presence that has the same overheads e.g. no Costco as it’s a warehouse

  • work for a company that has employee discounts with apple :P:P:P:P

  • If you want a discount buy a regular PC. If you really must get an apple then JB hi-fi will give 10% off any day of the week.
