Tracking OzBargain purchases

How is everyone tracking what they've bought from ozbargain deals especially from slow Chinese outlets?

I know there's the occasional free or <0.99cent products from the likes of rosegal/gearbest which hasn't arrived that I've not worried about.

I normal just search through my emails but it's kinda useless if I don't remember who I've purchased it from and what it is.

Cheers

  • Add them to aftership. Even the ones that aren't trackable I add then mark as delivered when they come.

Or create a label in gmail for waiting delivery and remove once they come.

  • Ah see, I knew this is the place to ask. Cheers, I've never used aftership but gmail is a good idea.

i just buy them and get a suprise a few months later

  • Bahah that's what I'm doing now tarquinoliveenimrod. I want to break that habit as I had 3 32gbs evo+ that I've bought for about 10bux each a few weeks ago arrived today.

With all the not so great smaller capacity evo deals the last few days, reminded me that I need some but had forgotten that I've already got some on the way. So the gmail labels is a good idea, I've just got to be in the habit of sorting out the orders to a label.

  • If you use gmail you can get the confirmations to go to a separate folder…

    eg [email protected]

will go to a folder called "random crap from oz b" most of the 0.01 things or 0.99 things are random shit you otherwise wouldn't have bought.

Then every 2 months go through and mark off the ones that have arrived and flag the others as not arrived or to check back on the original post if others have had theirs delayed or stuck at customs etc.

You can click on "Bookmark" to file the deal into folders. I have 2 folders

    • Something I bought
    • Still waiting

I'll bookmark my OzBargain purchases into both folders. When the item arrives I'll remove it from "Still waiting" folder. Every now and then I'll check my "Still waiting" folder to see whether I am still expecting some impulse buys to turn up.

      what is this sorcery

      • Example — all already integrated within OzBargain.

        • how do i get back to the bookmarks? i can't see a bookmarks option in any of the menus

    • I like all these different ideas, keep em coming.

      Cheers scotty

    • I like the bookmark idea but for a website that is dedicated to purchases, you'd think a little flash UI button would be introduced to help this very problem, it's been suggested a handful of times previously, but again and again. Good ol' bookmark is the key answer, or relying on third parties.

A bit old school, and behind the times IMO.

  • Way I do it is I only up vote deals I have made purchases from
