RM Williams from Website Vs. Reseller

Hi everyone,

I am in the process of buying my first pair of RM Williams, and I wanted to know if anyone has had experience buying from RM Williams store/online vs. resellers like the Iconic. Is there any difference in quality etc?

Iconic has the advantage of higher cash back and the Amex offer currently.

Thanks!

Shoes are the same, but fit isn't. They are hand made boots, so each fit is slightly different. I usually spend an hour or so in the RM Williams store trying on pairs until I get the exact right one. One thing I've noted over the years is that if you don't get a perfect fit, the shoes move around too much and start to fall apart/get more wear and tear. I currently have two pairs. One pair I bought in the UK and they didn't stock half sizes. That pair hasn't held up that well. The other pair I got a the RM Williams store here, and they look like new after several years.

Yeah, typically those type of shoes have a break in period. So you want a snug fit. After that break in period it'll feel really comfortable. If you get a comfortable fit to begin with, then it'll be looser after the break-in period.

Go to an RM’s store, try some on and find the correct size, then buy online.

You need to go and get fitted.

My normal shoe size is 13. My RM size is like 12E or something

No point having something you can’t wear.
