FTTP NBN 100/40 deals

Hi All, currently with Barefoor (Mate) on the 100/40 FTTP/H NBN plan at $99.99 per month.

Looking at changing to a cheaper provider with the same speed.

Any options/Thoughts?

Came across this mob: https://www.fuzenet.com.au/internet-and-phone/internet-plans
But they show a limited speed during busy times. Is that normal for FTTP? I don't think my speed ever changes.

Thanks.

  • Just tested and i'm getting 96mbps

  • I'm with SkyMesh and I've been pretty happy with them. All FTTP is pretty much same/same, however I did have massive issues with TPG because they apparently oversold their allocation in Brunswick Vic and everyone was getting 5mbps during peak times, I changed to SkyMesh and it went up to 92mbps.

Fuzenet look like they have a contract - you can pay practically the same price to get the same plan with another provider without a contract. It's well worth it if they turn out to be useless.

  • +1

Aussie broadband $99. Keep the change.

    • This. There's only so cheap you wanna go.

    • AB seems to have positive comments everywhere but on their site, I note their 100/40 has a typical evening speed of 68mbps. This seems pretty low?

Or is this what you would expect from any ISP?

  • Im with Optus paying $115 - I chose them due to the sports package for the english premier league, if not i probably would have gone with Aussie Broadband.

    • It costs $15 standalone. Cheaper with that and ABB
