Unclaim Money from Shares??

Hi, everyone
Any help appreciated
My friend received a letter from a claim company stating they discovered around $4000 worth of shares being sold due to change of company.
They are trying to charge 20% for the process, I've search the asic unclaim money and only found $2600. The letter is in joint name but search both name and only one comes back with the result.

Does anyone know how I could find the rest?

    check their details on each individual states treasury/revenue website.
