Hey guys, I've only been here (Oz) for about 6 months and have a list of items which I need to buy (4k tv, Ps4 pro, appliances, etc)
Was wondering if Black Friday was worth waiting for? please share your opinion given experience with previous years :)

There are some deals, I think its becoming more popular.

Nah, better be an OzBargain member. I've not found any 'dated' sale to be better value than patience and waiting for things (for example, SSDs recently).

It was pretty quiet and deals were pretty mediocre. I think last year was the best so far. Hopefully this year will be better.
Black Friday in Darwin is Friday late night shopping at the local. That is what I have been told whilst travelling through. Can a darwinite please confirm?

Black Friday is overhyped imo, i say you'd get better salwa during Christmas and boxing day sales but in saying that you never know with black friday.
I think you wont get pricing better than what gets posted here. Also, it could be all year round.

Its just a month from now anyway so we'll see, otherwise I'll keep an eye on the deals here and see what boxing day has to offer.
Stats says that for 2017, OzBargain got more visitors on the Black Friday than Boxing Day. So regardless what other commenters have said so far, there were many good deals posted. Check the Black Friday page which currently has a section "Deals from Last Year".

I was reading the comments and thinking wtf, Black Friday last year had some of the best deals all year and quite a few deals were better than Boxing Day.
Stores are really starting to push it online and in store. Don’t make the same mistake I did and wait for the Boxing Day sales, can’t wait for this year!
I agree. eb games had some bargains I can recall. I didn't rate clickfrenzy, I felt it was a big let down.
