Need a Good GPS

Hello,

I am looking to buy a GPS but I am not sure which one I should buy.

I am not sure what all we look when buying the GPS….in general I want easy to understand GPS and not costly one. Please lemme know which one you folks suggest and how much it will cost ?

  • This is a question more appropriate in "Find Me A Bargain" maybe?

  • The Navig8r ones (sold by LaserCo) are inexpensive, good maps (Aussie) updated every month or so. Make sure to get models with "Free map upgrades for life" - they cost a little extra but you don't get stung for $50-100 to get the latest info.

  • cool, thanks any specific model llma?
How about "TomTom" or "Navman" -http://www.navman.com.au/secureparking/ ?

  • I would suggest any from the Navman range. It was my first GPS and is still working today after 3 years. It's very easy to use and is generally well priced. Just choose one that suits your needs and budget.

  • Tom Tom is OK. Fairly easy to use. I only have the Tom Tom One (basic model) so I can't comment on the latest and newer ones.

Garmin Nuvi is great — the upmarket models have some interesting features and POI management is also good. I have this on my Garmin NuviPhone (the UI is identical to their standalone GPS's)

Navigon (not sure if they sell this in stores anywhere, but I got mine from Catch of the Day)
Also pretty good, better than Tom Tom but not as comprehensive than Garmin.

  • Go and hunt for a similar deal like this one
