Recommendation of Marriott/SPG Hotel in Bali

Hey Ozbargainers,

Can anyone recommend a good Marriott hotel to stay for several nights in Bali?

The reason of Marriott/SPG properties only is I'm a platinum member.
Ritz-carlton and W are not considered as we are travelling with another friend who doesn't have much budget.

So all the other brands are welcome.

Sheraton kuta looks great, but I've heard that it is too noisy at night.
The Stones Hotel in Legian looks great!

Probably not the ones in Nusa Dua as we will our first few nights there.

Feel free to share any past experience!

Thanks so much!

Based upon the information that you have shared, after your research and application of various filters, the only option is The Stones Hotel in Legian.

    • Haha, sorry for the confusion. Just wondering if you have any experience of the budget ones? Like, Four points and Countyard?

  • The mind boggles why people travel to countries where the majority of them hate us. I'm just saying as a general rule not targeted only at Bali.

You're overestimating how much people in other countries even think about us lol. I mean - how often in a day do you think about Balinese people? Yeah.

      • Very true. The people who actually think about us might not hate us as they might just doing jobs which relies on tourism.

      • I don't as I don't have anything to do with them. However there was a few nice Hindu Balinese but few and far between the greater population that talks and lies to us, we the infidels.

Went there once a couple of years ago and swore never again. Canadian friends warned me before I went. Had another ticket to go back 6 months latter already paid for and ditched it.
I spend 5-6 months a year throughout east Asia and that's one overpriced shit hole with never ending scams. I have a lot of mates some working others retired in SIngapore Thailand Cambodia Vietnam and Philippines all of them are of the same view they'll go anywhere but there.
Old divorced slappers or Woman bored with their relationship go there for sex and hand over their divorce money to some 20 year old guy it's just like Pattaya but in reverse.
I used to get a laugh out of that

  • Just stay in a villa instead… given your friend doesn't have budget, they won't be a platinum member, they won't get access to the benefits anyway

    • This is actually a good idea. Airbnb price is quite reasonable. I’m now choosing between Marriott low categories hotels like Four points, elements, courtyards due to my friends budget. The most expensive he can afford is Sheraton I think.
