Need Help Purchasing a Gift

Hi guys,

My team and I are arranging a small thankyou present for our Senior.

She's worked really hard with us across the last 1 month.

Does anyone have a gift idea recommendation? Something that is cheap and great value for money?

I need to purchase today or tomorrow.

Budget: $120-$150

My idea: Buy a massage off Groupon using Cash Rewards?

Thanks

Whenever I get a Groupon, I feel like the person is cheap

How about a gift card to either a supermarket or a department store. They will appreciate it.

Yep, I think the same, but department store rather than supermarket. A much safer option, and the recipient can decide what they want to use it on.

Some people do not like (or may actually detest) massages.

$150 present after only one month, awesome!

Something she likes? But how would you really know after only one month…maybe why you are asking here?

    One of those leather folio/compendiums?

    • Could get it monogrammed too from The Daily Edited or kikki.k

  • How about one of those pre-paid Visa cards (https://auspost.com.au/money-insurance/make-payments/explore…)…that way the recipient can spend the money anywhere he/she likes.

Sometimes it s not the gift that count. What about just throwing her a little party as a thank you. Not only will she appreciate the attention but it will also show off that the team is happy to work together and just hand her some flower and a bottle of white wine on the day. ( either throw a party or treat her to eat at a good eatery together).

    • This would very much depend on the person. I'd appreciate a party, but I'd very much prefer a good bottle of alcohol and I'll just shout the team to dinner or something.

  • Especially with the silly season coming up, I'd recommend a Best Restaurants Gift Card.
You can pick them up in Woolworths/Officeworks, and they can be redeemed at many swanky restaurants.
She might be able to take a loved one or some family/friends for a nice dinner, and you all could subsidise the wine!

Don't get anything off Groupon, you might as well get nothing.

interesting that a senior, who gets paid more, works "hard" and is rewarded with a gift.

whilst the "non-seniors" who work hard are congratulated with a reminder that work is holiday from poverty
