  • How does it compare with SanDisk 128GB Ultra Dual Drive Type-C USB 3.1 Flash Drive since it is the same price? It would be good to have the USB C option as well.

does anyone know if these heat up like the last version?

  • Yes like Blade, heat feedback would be great.

If you have eBay plus, Allphones have the 128GB Ultra Flair cheaper ($39.99 delivered): https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/163251629356 . The Ultra Flair (150 MB/s) is faster than the Ultra Fit (130 MB/s) too according to SanDisk's website.

    • The one from this deal is USB 3.1, whereas the one you linked is USB 3.0.

Logged in just to comment on this. Yes these do overheat supper fast, like 30 seconds fast. When copying to them their write speed is like 50 mbps but after about 20 seconds it drops to 20 mbps and after 30 seconds drops to like 6-12 mbps. Form factor is amazing but for large transfers these are useless. Avoid like the plague.

I use these to store about 350 CDs each in FLAC format for playing via my Cambridge CXN network media player. For that purpose they are excellent (I have several of them) but I wouldn't use them with things like blu-ray rips or other large files as they can get quite warm.

      • Yeah I was trying to use it to copy video files onto and was just terrible

    • Thanks, that's all I needed to know.

    • yep this will run hot as balls. the little samsung one is good though, can't remember what its called.

  • Damn, I spent 38.40 on a 128gb of these ones from these same guys just a few days ago. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SanDisk-8GB-16GB-32GB-64GB-128GB…

  • My ultrafit got hot but that wasn't an issue. One day I pulled it out of the tv and accidentally dismantled it though. Rip
