How Many eBay Gift Cards Can I Use in a Single Transaction

From Ebay's T&C I can see that there is a limit of 8 gift cards per transaction.
But is this the real case? I searched on the Internet and some website says that I can use more than eight.
Here is the link: One thing you can't do is specify an amount to use on the gift card: it's either all of the card or the item's total value. eBay Gift cards are generally in denominations of $50-$100 and according to eBay you can only enter a maximum of eight gift cards on a single purchase. However, there are plenty of reports of people not encountering this issue and using 10 or more.
Did anyone successfully purchase an item by using more than 8 gift cards?
I am asking this because I saw a good deal of laptop and I would like to stack around $2300 gift cards.

No more than a total of $2000 in Gift Cards may be redeemed per day, and no more than a total of $5000 in Gift Cards may be redeemed per calendar month. Further, you may only redeem a maximum of eight Gift Cards in any single transaction (and fewer if you are redeeming Gift Cards in combination with other redemption codes, such as coupons or vouchers).

People posted in the 10% off eBay giftcard thread that it was around 15 plus a discount code I believe.

Hi, OP. Follwing a recent update in Woolies system, you won't be able to buy eBay GCs with eGC anyway. Forget about it!
