Straight up - Have you ever purchased one of the Microsoft 'office professional plus' keys off eBay and experienced any issues?

So I know my way around the whole Office 365 puff story - 1tb cloud storage, skype calls… but I ain't interested in a subscription (I got 200gb oneDrive storage free from Telstra back a long while ago no longer available).

Is this OEM stuff PC builders resell? or is it just a bunch of circle-jerking a serial to a dozen people before Microsoft shut it down after 2 months of use?

    MSDN, MPN, etc and aren't legit.

    Might as well just pirate it

      "used" copies from discarded PCs can be legitimately resold.

    They might have purchased a bulk subscription (like for 100 devices or something) and then selling off those codes .
    Probably not strictly legal. But then probably not strictly legal the deals from cdkeys, ie. On selling a product which terms and conditions state not for resale etc.

      You don't get such large discounts even if you buy tens of thousands of licenses from Microsoft.

    I bought one about 5 months ago as my touch enabled laptop could really do with Office 2016 (all my other machines run an Office 2010 licence I have)

    No problems with it.. it attached to my Microsoft account without an issue, and no trouble reactivating as my Surface had to go in for "repair"/replacement 3 times and I had to reinstall each time.

    I am in the same boat as you having 305GB of OneDrive (Telstra 200GB + Samsung 100GB), so the otherwise excellent yearly deal of 1TB OneDrive + Office lost a bit of its luster.
