15A Smart Socket - Any Available in AU?

Just wondering if anyone knows of a smart switch (google home compatible), that accepts Australian 15A?

Every one i've come across is standard 10A. Reason I need a 15A is I have a commercial coffee machine that is 15A and would like it to be turned on remotely on a schedule so its not on all the time.

Cheers

  • You may need to use a 10A switch linked to a suitably rated contactor
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contactor

  • SOnOff has WiFi switches (some also work w/ local RF Rem controls) rated for 15A.

Some can read Temp. / Humitity (w/ plug-in sensors) & switch meat On or Off via prog' sequences, viewed on SmartPhone

You'd have to get 'em wired-up.

The only thing I don't like about 'em: They go thru maker's servers (where? how reliable? Hackable? dunno…)

Source em via/from: pp AliExpress or on eBay.
or Google 'em; I've heard there are Aussie
suppliers, but dunno if they are tested f AU…

    Any1 know?

  • You could use a sonoff 12volt controller and link it to a solid state relay such as this one: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1-2-5-10PCS-Solid-State-Relay-SS…
Splice it in between one of these:
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HPM-20m-15A-Extra-Heavy-Duty-Car…

Don't know how legal it would be if you did it yourself and it would likely breach Australian standards but in theory this would work.

  • Sorry to dig up an old thread, but has anyone found a solution for this? I'm also looking for a 15A smart plug
