When Insurance Companies Look at a Police Report, Do They Get The Associated Pictures?

I'm looking for some answers from someone that works in the insurance assessment area.
When insurance companies look at a police report, do they look at the written report only, or do they get all information associated with the report that the police have (i.e., pictures, videos, etc).

TIA.

  • Kind of sounds like something their employer can help answer for them.

  • Someone works in an insurance assessment area and has asked you to pose a question on ozbargain that an insurance assessment person would know?

    • Not quite, I'm looking for answers FROM someone who works in the insurance assessment area, not FOR someone who works in an insurance assessment area.

No, OP is putting the question to whose who work in insurance assessment.

  • I am going to guess motor vehicle accident and un-notified modifications/accessories?

    • no, vandalism to our house and it's not related to anything unreported.

      • are you the one that vandalised your house and trying to claim on your insurance?

      • Has it happened yet?

  • Lots of funny stuff people, but I'm not vandalising my own house. I have video of the offender and he has been arrested.

  • No idea what the answer is, but why wouldn they. It's part of the report.

    • They might just record the incident number so they have more time on OzBargain.

I'm guessing this is related to a motor vehicle accident. I don't think they get a copy of the police report it would all be protected by privacy laws.
