VideoPro - Saved Me over $200!

I wasn't sure where else to put this, but I wanted to give credit to VideoPro for helping me out on a particular product.

Late last week, I was in the market for the new Bose Soundbar 700 (RRP $1199) and knew that most places don't often discount Bose products that much. As part of eBay's 20% "POTPLANT" sale, I only found Bose's Soundtouch 300 which is the previous model.

I jumped on VideoPro's actual website and found the Soundbar 700 there. I then jumped on their online chat and asked the rep if they could add the Soundbar 700 on their eBay store so that I could take advantage of the 20% discount. The rep said that he/ she couldn't add it at that particular moment, but asked me to check back in a couple of days. Well, I did check the next day and there it was! That saved me over $200.

Just waiting on delivery now and wanted to share this in case anyone wants something specific that VideoPro has for the next sale!

    I actually like Videopro. I got my QC35IIs from them for what was, at the time (and for even months afterwards) the lowest price anywhere.

    Not enough people give due credit to good customer service, so often enough the biggest retailers are able to walk all over the smaller stores who try their best to give the best service. I mean ultimately any store is wanting to make money, and the store in question here is no different, but so many people whinge about cruddy service but when they do get a good turn don’t mention it.

    Personally I’d pay a bit more if I knew the store would be good about returns and warranty stuff. HN and the like might be cheaper but often enough people have the devils own time trying to get things sorted when it inevitably hits the fan.

    My I suggest you also give them a mention on Product review, I know some people don’t like the site but it does have a fair bit of visibility.

      I was actually hesitant to create this post in the first place because I've found, in the past when I've asked, not many retailers were willing to budge on price for Bose products. I assume (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that Bose has pricing agreements in place with the retailers.

      I thought there might be a reason only the superseded model was put up on eBay, but not the new model that was only released in Australia only a few weeks ago.

      I'm not sure if I would get them in trouble for doing me a favor. If there's any risk of that, I'd like a mod to delete this post.
