Hi OP, not being offensive, but they are still expensive though…

    • +10

This is OzBargain not OzCheap…Not everything has to be cheap to be a good deal.

      • So why do we never get deals on Lambos or Ferraris?

        • -2

Cos Ozbargain is aimed at poor people

    • You'll end up here, I'll save you the time - https://www.rivers.com.au/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4rGgu7Gr3gIVDxO…

Dunno why you got downvoted, but I agree with you. ASOS seems to be way more expensive these days, and I don't think it's just due to the falling AUD…

Too many salty ppl, you can't be true to this site.

  • Anyone else continually get the "Sorry, something's up with your order :( " E-mail when you put in an order? This error happens when paying by credit card. And I also get a 'Sorry, there was a problem authorising your payment. Please check your details and try again.' error when paying via paypal.

I was able to checkout smoothly using the app and have received confirmation email. Maybe give that a try.
      Paid with Paypal btw.

      • Thanks for the response mate. Tried iot 3 times with google chrome. It worked.

Why are Polo Rapl Lauren shirts now $150-$180??? I used to get them (from ASOS) for ~$130, even that was a lot for what they are. They're nice shirts and fit well (slim fit) but you could get similar or better form the likes of Flinders Lane (RIP) for half the price.

Could be exchange rate related, from 2017 to 2018, the Aus has been 10% weaker vs the pound. The british pound prices seem the same for the polos. They use to allow people to choose what currency to use, they changed that, so now i use a VPN to buy in pounds.

Does using a VPN to buy in pounds still allow you to send to Australia with no hassles? Are the items as cheap as what they were before with the currency trick?

        • I have had no problems, I have a premier account so not sure if that has anything to do with it. I just did the same thing without VPN and it worked, so maybe they reverted back to allowing you to buy in pounds if you want.

THat said you have to do your homework, some items will be more expensive in pounds at this stage, others will be cheaper. I just did a crosscheck with some ralph shirts 90pounds - (164aus in paypal exchange) but sells at 144$ in the aus portal so not worth it in that case.

        • double post.

ASOS did 30% off everything for Click Frenzy last year. It's only 3 weeks or so away.

    • I just bought some on-sale shoes because I remember last year there were similar sales 15-20% but I was waiting for the big 30% sale in November and by the time it came round my size had been snapped up. I would’ve saved like $10-15 but didn’t get anything. So this time I just copped the shoes.

    • 2 weeks, today.. :)

The shoes I bought two years ago were $40 rrp then. I wear them every day so thought I'd buy a different colour to mix them up/add to their shelf life and they're $70 now. With the discount and cashrewards, i'll eventually get $57.40 back, I guess.

Are ASOS adding GST now? I haven't bought anything physcial from overseas merchants since May…

    • they have their AU store as well, bought recently a couple of orders via Au website and UK website, no GST have been added (even that shipping is from UK)

  • Haven't bought from ASOS before, but I'm going to pull the trigger on a fitbit charge 3.

Just released in Aus, GG and HN etc are selling for $229. With this deal plus CB the price comes down to under $170. Thanks OP.
