    I think you'd be better off with a 1 month subscription to Xbox Gamepass if you just want to play the game for a month or so. You can even do 14 day trial and play for free, technically.

    I guess this would be good for anyone who wishes to own it or does not have Game Pass. Do people still play this online ?

      Yes, you can still find local versus games in ’social quickplay’. And there’s always horde which can tolerate a higher latency - players vs bots.
      I think the game is still worth getting but I would avoid this edition because the only extra over and above the regular edition are maps that can be used privately, ie, you can play on all maps online but if you wanna host a private match with a non starter map you’ll need this.
