Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Wireless Charging Issues?

I've bought a number of 10W wireless charging devices online (3rd party, I will admit), which are able to charge my Note 9, but only for 3-30 seconds at a time before they disconnect, and then repeat the process. Anyone else experienced this issue or have any suggestions?

  • Sounds similar to 3rd party cables on apple devices.

I'm guessing these are no name brands?

How much have you spent on 3rd party devices? I wouldn't bother with buying another one. Just buy a brand like Anker

  • When I got my S8 with the Unicorn Beetle tough case, my Blitzwolf fast charging wireless charger would charge for about 10-30 seconds and then start blinking, which means not charging. If I took it off the charger and then placed it back on and ensuring it was sitting dead centre it would NORMALLY work properly.

But then I bought a Genuine Samsung fast charging wireless charger and its working fine.

  • Buy a Samsung Wireless Fast Charging Stand.

i still think the S7 edge was Samsung's best ever phone. That phone is just so reliable.

  • I've got one of these for my note 8, it's fairly reliable and doesn't lose connection.

  • Did the charging pads come with cables and chargers as well or are you using your own?

I've had the same thing happen to me when I used a crappy cable with my wireless charger. I would go into a charge - stop - charge loop.
Also check the power rating of the USB adaptor to make sure you're outputting enough power to the charging pads. 10W at 5v is 2A, so the USB charger should be outputting a similar amount of current.

  • To charge at full 10W you actually need a fast charge cable. Best check that first.
