The Cloud II is a rebranded Takstar Pro 80, and they improved the drivers for the Cloud Alpha.

I bought the Cloud Alpha when they were on sale (not on sale here) and have been happy with them. However, I found the earpads a little shallow but HyperX sent out slightly thicker replacement earpads for free.

Shroud uses the HyperX Cloud Flight… albeit probably sponsored. :D

  The cloud 2 is a really great headset for the price. do yourself a favour and don't spend 5 hours comparing and looking at reviews like i did. If you're looking for a headset for around $100, this is it.

    They're pretty solid headphones. I was insanely skeptical of buying gaming branded headphones but they sound OK and are very comfortable. I'm just glad sound is balanced and not like my last 'gaming' headphones were low ends where muddy and boosted up to the moon. I paid RRP for them though which was a ripoff (I had no other choice) but it's been worth it.
    If you can find them for near the $100 mark then go for it, you will not be disappointed. Also it works out of the box with Xbox/PS4 which is handy as I don't need to buy another headset for my xbox.
