    Agreed, if you don't already have batteries and chargers, get a kit. Better warranty as well as covered by Australian consumer law.

    I paid AUD$30 delivered out of China for a Convoy C8+ 5000K, "Oak Brown", so not really a big saving. Having said that, very nice torch!

    Zanflare F1, check out the reviews/youtube. Tried and true over the years. Charger built in as well. Charges at 1A.

    Thorfire are over-hyped tbh, I have both. I wouldn't want to drop the Thorfire because of the reflector either

    The 3000mAH battery it includes only rates that high if low drain, higher drain like used in the light actually does not do that well. Better off spending $4-6 for a LG 3000mAH 20A HG battery.

      The C8s isn't a high drain light. I'm using Panasonic NCR18650b's without an issue.

        Draws around 3amps, no need for high drain. Zanflare F1 and a C8 are not comparable, apples and oranges, F1 16650cd & C8+ around 60k. Friends 8yo dropped my convoy onto asphalt a couple of weeks ago, landed on an angle on the bezel - slight scratch, carrie on.
