Australian Consumer Law to Be Clarified for Refunds of Faulty Products

Consumer affairs ministers have agreed to change the wording of Australian Consumer Law so that it is clear that if you buy a product and it continuously breaks, you can get a refund instead of multiple repairs.

Not much detail at the moment, but a win for consumers no doubt.

Good. It's technically already in the current ACL - but it's good to clarify that multiple minor defects, or multiple instances of the same minor defect, (which entitles the consumer to a refund instead of just a repair) can constitute a major defect (which entitles the consumer to a refund).
