Floortex Chairmat for Carpets 75 x 120cm - $29 at Officeworks

250

Saw this deal at Officeworks West Gosford. Usually they sell for like $70 so I thought this was a good deal for people who don't have one yet. Great carpet saver.

  • Thanks for that. Hopefully it's the same at all office works - I'll probably head to a local one tomorrow and pick one up.

  • My local had this about two weeks back, they were rolled up though
Had a hand written sign saying
    To make flat
Unroll and leave in the sun for 30min

  • Good deal,
    Would it damage your carpet?

they are designed not to damage/reduce the damage to carpet.
Officeworks work are selling two types of chairmats: one of hard floors and the other for carpet.

  • no good for wooden floors :(

    • +3

They had ones for wooden floors too. I think they were the same price :)

      • thanks for that will check it out

        • I'm interested in mats for wooden floors

  • From the product page: Suitable for low pile carpets - 6mm or less with no underlay.

Also the website doesn't say it is discounted so I suspect this may be the regular price.

  • got this about a month ago.. had to go to a few officeworks stores around brisbane to get it though…
the carpet one is only for thin carpets, no good if you have thick carpet.

my carpet is thin, and it seemed to be working nicely at the start, but about a month later its dented in where the chair sits, and sticks, can't slide around to easily.

    but good for $30

    • Yeah mine was kind of sticky too. I just thought it was from all the spilled coke that built up under the rollers on my chair xD

  • Same price as the ones they have at Ikea

    http://www.ikea.com/aa/en/catalog/products/90176245

Anyone know if these ones are better? Ikea's ones don't have the spikes but one side is sort of sticky so once it gets dusty its not good…

It's good. It's thick and flat, made by LDPE4 plastic material, the same as cling's. I've bought two. You can use it on carpet or timber floor.

  • Was looking for some chair mats last week. Officeworks didn't have a hard floor one at the size I wanted that was decently priced. They did have the hard floor version of this but 75x120cm was too small for me ($29). I'm fairly sure this is there standard price.

Then I found this site. I ordered a hard floor one last week. Also has carpet ones

  • These are also at bunnings in SA for $29.

  • The mats for wood floors are always $29 at Office Works. Same size mat as well just no bumps of course.

  • This is the normal price, I bought one a few weeks ago. I think it's intended for use as a carpet protector, say from shoes & scuff marks, as opposed to the heavier duty ones which are intended for hours of daily punishment from the wheels of an office chair. I should have spent a bit more and got the latter.

  • I couldnt see these at Hornsby store - will have another look.
