Dell is having another sale on the U2311 and the U2711 for $274 and $764 respectively.

These prices can be further discounted by applying a 15% off EPP coupon (www.dell.com.au/epp) which results in the prices being $232.90 and $649.40.

EPP includes Universities, Banks, and a lot of other companies/organisations etc. Start typing in your work or university etc for a legit 15% coupon or just mention your a student and sometimes they will add the 15% off anyway.

There is also RACV (www.dell.com.au/racv) which is for motoring club members i.e. NRMA etc

Note: Some reps will not let you stack the promotion and the discount together, but others will (luck of the draw), I believe this is because they are paid a sales commission, they would like to make money but ultimately they would still like a sale, talk to the reps in webchat or over the phone for best results.

Simply buying online and checking out will not let you stack the two offers.

  • So… how do i get EPP sales person code? (assuming I'm a uni student?)

    • Yeah, how do we get the EPP code for uni?

      • My EPP login was student number and organastion was my uni.

        For UWA: http://www.its.uwa.edu.au/student/hardware/siso_student_hard…

        • Talked to a Rep, they have been asked quite a few times. Rep will get back to me tomorrow with Managements response. Hoping to get a decent deal. Thanks for the Receipt uploads.

        • Did it help in mentioning the EPP discount? The one I spoke to simply repeated the no-stack policy over and over.

  • Want to buy U2711. any discounted invoices?

  • I got NRMA number and i got the 15% off coupon and when i put the coupon code i cant get the $85 off. so i can get only one discount $85 cash off or 15% off, not both

    • MoneyBackCo?

      • Don't think you can get money back with MBC if you use motoring club or EPP code. Not 100% sure though.

        • You can't get moneyback with Motoring club but not sure about EPP.

      • The Dell discount + MBC 7% will work - but no further EPP

  • Bought one $265, didn't bother to haggle more, still happy with the price paid.

Just glad its helping someone out :)

  • Well if I can find a rep that'll sell me one for $650, then I'll buy it. Might even consider two

I just bought a U2311H from Harris Technology, cost $268, pick up and go. Impressed by the quality of the monitor, brilliant color.

Nice deal - I used an EPP code just to check the difference and the 27 inch screen comes out at $721. As you already stated the deals don't stack - maybe I'll haggle!

Nice deal! Have they changed the U2711 Anti Glare at all? I would dearly love a 27" H-IPS 2560x1440 panel screen without the speckled and refractive AG Dell use. This is the same panel the 27" Macs use now in all their glorious glossy appeal (and problematic yellow banding from the LED backlight!). I was one of the early guys to try and remove the AG from the 27" Dell, short term it was perfect, long term bad news with glue and polarizing film issues.

Was a good move for Apple to put $500 million into the LG factory producing these panels if they have (seemingly) locked Dell into an AG only version exclusive.

Anyone got a recent batch and can comment on the AG issue, still bad with small black text on white websites etc? For the love of god someone release an H-IPS 2560 gloss with reasonable connections!

  • Do you think it'd work to talk to a rep and if I'm not satisfied with the price ask the next day and hope I get a different rep? :P
ed: after reading through the linked thread, apparently yes :D

  • If the U2711 is $721, then it's been like that with previous deals.

  • Can't seem to mix RAC or NPP discount with the existing $85 off.

Best deal for me is with RAC discount on the U2711 - $721

  • No deal for the U3011???

  • +1

They are saying no better deal online. Trying hard to haggle.

    • +2

Ok. Fingers crossed. $250 is looking possible.

Waiting on email to confirm order.

Tried on webchat for ages, but the reps are hopeless, multichatting and typing with long pauses…….. so I gave up and called up instead.

Straight away the rep said $242 each. I did buy 3 though so may have swayed it. Stoked.

    Thanks for posting.

Gratz :) Mind posting his contact info for everyone else :)

      • Agreed, I have waited over (the promised) 24 hour reply time.

I want to get this sorted soon.

  • I'm still waiting on email confirmation.

Sure, if you can be discreet about it as it is his direct line, so just play dumb as if you came through on the queue.

    He gave me a few names, but call 1300 733 353 and x861 0007.

I think $250 would definitely be acceptable on a single monitor.

    • Thanks SKiZO
Just got it for $250.08 through your contact. Was discrete - gave my partners company as a past customer of his. No records handy? …no problem.
      Cheers

      • Excellent, Glad I could help. Can't wait to get them, they have nice thin black bezels so perfect for eyefinity type setups.

  • +1

Have got confirmation at $250 for my order. Only just got the email.

    • mind posting some contact info? :)

  • Try this.

He did say no discount to begin with, just perservered.

    • I'll give it a shot during more reasonable hours. Was there anything in particular you mentioned that made him more lenient?

      I guess if I can't get a price I'm satisfied with I'll call up :P

  • Just got one earlier for $250 via phone (best I could get over the net was $260). At first he did the whole it already has a cash discount, can't do any cheaper. Then when I said I read others are getting them for $250 he changed his tune and budged lol. he wouldn't go any cheaper though.
