permanent/waterproof?…any chance theres a 'gloss' black. thinking of touch ups to bike paint..

Hiya Franco, what an honour to be speaking with a Western suburbs icon! They contain a water based paint so we could call them semi permanent. For the most part permanent and waterproof though can be removed with water, cloth and elbow grease if still wet. If used on a bike in a high friction area then you may find it could wear off slightly over time. If used in a low friction area then it will stay on just fine. You'll find the end result is more of a matt finish than gloss and if you're after a black then Roarke is the best colour to pick provided it hasnt sold out. Kind regards, Jim

Ironlak on OzBargain! I can't believe they will now be stocked in Officeworks. I remember the days when you had to buy them at (hip hop) record stores.

Bugger was hoping for a sale on some smaller nib sizes for more detailed work on wood surfaces. Good to hear about the Officeworks rollout though!

But in reality these are mostly used for tagging right?

    • 30-50mm are much more appropriate for tagging..or so ive been told <shifty>

    • Take a look at our product range - there's oil paints, acrylic paints, brushes, canvases, easels, gouache, watercolours, mediums, charcoal, pencils, etc - art supplies used by artists.

Ironlaks come a long way i actually got sent paint to test way back when they were first releasing as i was a memember of ozhiphop.com shoutouts to mass mc. Good to see you guys thriving!

Now that is taking it back! When mass was still around, the forums on ozhiphop.com were the place to be if you were into hip hop - sad to see it become a ghost town even before the recent security breach.

  • Supposedly a $2.49 product and shows 0 postage after you put in your postcode, then a $7.65 postage shock right at the final step of PayPal. Furtunately I was able to cancel at the last minute. Now I am getting spam from this mob asking me to complete the transaction. $7.65 postage for a $2 pen. What genius came up with this marketing idea. I guess it’s on the same level as graffiti and spam.

Hi Mike, the offer as listed above states that postage is $7.65 or free metro delivery when you place an order over $60. If you were only trying to buy 1 x marker then the $7.65 postage would apply. How many markers were you trying to purchase? Kind regards, Jim

      • I thought I was quite clear I just wanted one of these. Never used the product before. Just wanted to try one to see if they’re any berter than a normal texta. But you guys want $8 to post one lousy texta. Then you keep spamming me because I refused to be ripped off. Says a lot about your company.

        • Sorry Mike, the last thing we aimed for was to upset you. The cheapest available Aus post satchel is $8.25. We charge less than cost. If there is another way we can get an item to you at a better rate please let me know. The follow up email is automatically sent, like most ecommerce stores. If you havent already done so please hit unsubscribe in the email you received and you wont be contacted again. If you have a change of heart of any sort then Im confident you'll find this is one of the best markers you will have ever used. They've been engineered over a number of years to be a top tier product that blows the competition out of the water hence why Officeworks dropped another recognisable international product to put this marker in their stores. Again I apologise for your experience. if you're still keen to put it head to head with a texta then you'll be able to pick one up in an officeworks store for $5.99.
