I've never understood why we always rely on someone such as yourself to point this out to associated posters. You'd think it would be a rule when posting and enforced by moderators.
The necessity to show prices on a bargains website has always seemed so immensely obvious to me. The other day a vendor boasted of 12 months market research before posting the opportunity to pre-order his products at 20% discount. No prices whatsoever in the description. What kind of marketing is that? Even little kids know you have to tell shoppers how much money to pay.
Yeah, that was the fancy socks deal. Even though it was a valid bargain for that brand, the associated poster had the common mindset of using this site to advertise a discount sale and just expecting us to click into their website out of curiosity. Personally, I'm getting tired of seeing this and wish there was an enforceable rule for associated posters with exceptions for site-wide sales on familiar sites like ebay and amazon. It would make you redundant though, so there's a negative side :-P
@kahn: Guidelines basically cover such matters, but the vendors we are referring to don't read them anyway. Some respond well to a bit of help, but others resort to defending the indefensible.
