How many Shekels is a Microsfot point worth?

    • 4,750 Points = 13.34 Israeli new shekel

      • Israeli new shekel = 3.75 Cognac silvers.

Bastards. I can't understand your memes. I'm a time poor, Ozbargain rich SOB here

          • @hetzjagd: It’s an Office reference (schrute bucks)

  • Got the email and have done the change for a month. :)

  • Does it work yet?

    • I got the pop-up for 500 points yesterday.

You guys know what Bing is good for… Search away!

      “Chrome Download”

      • +1

That and "videos" of the explicit variety. Seriously though the video search engine is unrivaled.

      • But be careful not to click on the fake chrome download ad.

    • Have you ever tried it, it is actually better at many fronts than Google itself

It's search suggestion was quite racist a while ago and even suggested stuff along the lines of child porn.

So much malware and misleading links returned in the search results though

      • I've been using Bing Rewards for about a few months now and I can't say I have been converted. When I want to do a search, most times I get more relevant results using google.

    • Don't worry. I know what you mean ;)

  • I also was offered points for doing a quick survey when I first logged into Microsoft Rewards

  • ***Only applicable for Android users on Chrome

So nothing for those of us that want a better browser.

  • Could probably use brave if you're like me and don't use Chrome

    Bing is that desperate?

    • I'm not surprised. Everyone is desperate for data nowadays.

    • This is pretty interesting stuff- behaviour change study on its way. So desperate

  • Ooh I've always wanted to try Bing! Any suggestions for my first search term? Maybe "google"?

    • DuckDuckGo

  • Damn I'm assuming Xiaomi miui platform does not count as Android? Followed steps and don't seem to be getting points. Anyone got it working with a Xiaomi?

  • Bing,

    Haha Bing. yeah, right

Switched from Google over a year ago. Better in every way except for anything medical or health related, way too much spam!

  • I use Bing 10% of the time for searches now say in the last two months. Especially when I get too many paywall result searches in Google or when I think some searches are being filtered.

It's search results are more decent nowadays.

  • Serious question, what can I actually do with Microsoft points and how many points to redeem something?

  • Great I do all that, briefly see the pop up for like a tenth of a second to claim, then the page refreshes and I can't actually press the claim button. Hate things that don't just work!

  • Bing is available on mobile????????????????

  • How long should it take to get the 500 points? Do you have to wait a month? I followed the steps but all I have are 208 points.

Let me bing that for you..

  • "Offer expires 30 days after joining Microsoft Rewards" :(

    • So basically not for pre-existing users of Bing and Microsoft Rewards?
edit: NVM it does work for pre-existing users as well, it did for me :)

  • Just a heads up, it's impossible for you to properly turn off search history tracking if you haven't turn off the option previously.

They just straight up removed the option for newer users and have this "fake" search history disable which only shows you a paused search history, but if you go digging, all your searches are stored in your dashboard.

    Seems pretty scummy
