OzBargain Christmas Secret Santa 2018 (AU $10 Spend)

In the spirit of Christmas was wondering if ppl would be interested to set up a secret santa among the OzBargain community, as with previous years? It could involve sending cards and/or gifts of a certain value depending on interest.

UPDATE: Vote in the poll below to indicate that you are interested in the OzBargain Secret Santa this year. Here is the timeline:

  • 16 Nov: Poll starts. If you are interested in participating, vote YES I am in!
  • 23 Nov: Poll closes, and I will send all participants a form to fill in delivery details
  • 26 Nov: I will message everyone delivery detail of another random individual. Start shopping!

Do note that delivery from overseas merchants might take a while especially low value items, so your gift might/might not arrive before Christmas. We'll also stick to AU $10 maximum spend on gifts.

Update 19 Dec: The original system message containing the delivery information gets deleted automatically after 7 days. So if you still have not posted the secret santa gift, please message scotty to request for the info.

    My gift arrived today.. I guess I should say thanks? I received a car and caravan salt and pepper shaker. A quick google shows these being reduced 3 years ago lol Good effort though as postage was a whopping $8!

    I received a package today, not sure who or where it came from has Melbourn return address says from Amazon. Now I do not recall ordering anything from Amazon, though I am expecting a package maybe that size???? but I will assume it is from my OzB Secret Santa. So whoever you are I believe I got it!!!! YAY!!!!

    BUT I want to wait till chrissy to open it as my Partner is not good at shopping and do not expect any surprises from him, I have been buying my own chrissy because of it so NO surprises or gift opening except for my Secret Santa

    So Thank you whomever you are!!! It is much appreciated and here before chrissy.

      Edit: I received a 2nd package and on it it says Ozbargain in the to field after my name. I will go out on another limb here and say the 1st may be the package I ordered myself (really unsure, as it says Amazon and I know I did not order from there). So this second one may be my secret santa, LOL…

      Won't know till chrissy morning. 4days and a wakeup!

    I filled out the form and was able to see my recipient earlier, I came back from overseas, and I am now unable to see my recipent. Gift is ready to be shipped, can I please get details via personal msg.

      The generated message was sent by the system user, which is removed after 7 days (like other notifications sent by the system user). Lucky I backed up all the secret santa messages :)

      We'll probably work out a better solution next year.

      I actually got TWAM from someone with delivery problem two days ago, asking for the postal address again. However I am away this week and don't have access to my computer with the files, so I can pass on the delivery info. Expect some very delayed Santa…

    Grrrrrrrr!!!!!! This makes me so very angry - it is one thing to be a bargainer but another to take advantage of a gift giver. I wish those that agreed to participate and who chose not to deliver could be caught and banned from OB for such a dirty trick!!!
