I just realised... the term is NOT to be "Ozbargained" - it is...

There are times and places to write pwned, ozbargained applies to everyone no matter how different they are. I'm only 28 yet I have an irrational urge to slap younger brother when he writes a message to me in facebook ending with "thx " or "wif eaz"

    • You're just looking for an excuse.. that happens to be the most frequent!

    • What is 'wif eaz'?

  • Good luck with making it popular.

  • OK - maybe I was trying to be too "cool" for you young guys LOL

    OzBargOwned?

    • OzbargOwned is much better than 'OzBargPWND'… And I don't particularly like the mixture of upper and lower case letters… It's very '15 year-old girl (No Offense)'.

        OzBaRgOwNeD

^ this is 15 year old girl

ironic if a 15 year old girl came to post… wrong gender right age here :)

    • It's obvious that you don't speak to people but have your texting finger raring to go. :P Just stand up and say the words out loud, which one is easier on the tongue?

      OzBargained
      OzBargowned

      • well one sounds more Australian since it's easier to mush up the syllables :P

        • To llama, its the 'bar-gowned' part. It feels strange when it's pronounced

      • Nice, I still prefer Ozbargained cos it is easier to stress it out. OzBargowned has a tongue twist at the end and makes it harder to pronounce it.

        • Oz-Barg-Owned… it's only 3 syllables, so you must have a very strange accent to think there is a tongue twist in that LOL

        • the

          Bar-Owned part sounds weird

        • @llama: If you know a Turkish speaker, ask them to explain "vowel harmony" to you. Or look it up in Wikipedia.

Greenpossum - if you know an English speaker, ask them to explain "a pun". Or look it up on Wikipedia :-)

        • +1

It's a lame pun, or should I say a llama one? You're too enamoured of geekspeak. :P

        • Yeah, OK OK… it is a lame pun. Then again, almost all puns are lame.

Llamas are sometime lame too, although those of us who can run and jump are totally awesome :-D

Ozsploited — verb. when a bargain is mostly or completely taken up only by Ozbargain members, often to a point where the Rep would immediately regret that he/she put up the advert in the first place, or causing the company massive losses in potential sales.

e.g "Remember the $0 Ubisoft game pricing glitch? Now that was some delicious Ozsploitation"

Ozbargooned — verb. when a web server slows down to a crawl or crashes due to the influx of Ozbargain users or "goons"

e.g. "COTD was completely taken apart by Ozbargoons yesterday. Captain Catch didn't expect a Ozbargoon attack of this scale.".

"Oi Shazza! 'ave a look at me OzzieB"

  • wouldn't we just simply say the deal had been OB'ed!!

  • we still need a meme on this
    As I have said before

Pics anyone ( with a knack for photoshop) or fellow oldf@gs

  • OzBargained should be reserved for the supplier who gets taken to the cleaners.

OzBargOwned should be reserved for doing a Broden and you buy the entire supply.

    • 'OzBROgained'?

      • OBd

      • OzBrodened!
The process of buying as many PS3's from Toys R Us for the purpose of selling on eBay at a substantial profit. Note the process is not complete until you brag about it on the deal thread and thereby piss people off who wanted one for their children, the disappointment causing them to cry and whimper and hate you for all eternity.
