I'm a couple hours into Spyro 3 (my favorite) on a standard Xbox One, frame rate seems a little wonky at first, but it plays pretty well. No audio or visual hiccups (so far), everything seems fine, was expecting worse after all the controversy.
There was like 300MB installed off the disc though, and a 42GB update. When I'm done with the games I'm going to uninstall it, then kill my internet, then see how much I can play with just the disc, my guess is, (profanity) (profanity) all.
Pretty sure only the first Spyro is on disc.
Pretty sure Spyro 1 on my PSP is more than 300MB.
