Need Some Overall Electronic Product Reccomendations (Phone, TV etc) !

Hey everybody, i'm in the process of revamping all my electronics (it's been a long time) and would like some product recommendations from anyone. I'll give a list of stuff I want and what i'm thinking of buying + what I generally use my existing one for so it'll be easier to see what I need. You don't have to weigh in on all of them, even one recommendation is fine. Thanks!

Phone (Currently considering Pixel 3):
I have an Xperia Z3 at the moment so it's time for an upgrade. I don't use my phone for too much except browsing a few of the usual apps (reddit, messenger etc). I would like a good camera only because the camera on mine is pretty bad so i'd like to start taking better quality photos. I don't watch many videos or play many games, but there are a few games i'd like to play when I get a new phone. Overall however i'm not an overly crazy phone user, just use it for general things. I know however that I do not want an iPhone or any kind of "gaming" phone.

TV (Nothing considered, maybe a Sony one):
Upgrading all my game consoles to play in 4K. I would like a 55" for sure. I don't know the different between UHD or LHD or OLED or whatever else there is. I'll be using it for Netflix, 4K gaming and connecting computer to it through HDMI to watch downloaded shows. SO many TV's to consider I don't know where to start. Price limit is $2000. 144hz or above refresh rate.

TV Sound Bar (Nothing considered):
Don't know anything about sound bars. Don't mind if it comes with a subwoofer I just want good sound quality.

Computer Speakers (Currently Considering Audioengine 2+ Powered Speakers):
I currently run a pair of cheaper logitech speakers so any improvement is a bonus. I'll be doing the usual through it: videos, music, movies. Just want some general all around speakers with good sound quality.

Computer Monitors (Nothing considered):
I know that I want two 27" monitors. I play ALOT of games but most are indie games or PC exclusives (or well known established PC games like KF2 and CS). All the AAA games are going to be console. But i'm also a designer and need monitors that might also cater towards that, with better colour grading and whatnot. I'd prefer the bevels not to be too big because they'll be side by side (also seperate display on each screen). I currentl run 2 BenQ 24" and they're really great but I just need something a bit bigger.

Thanks for any input!

  • Was it Powerball or Saturday lotto?

    • Hahahaha, just saving up over time from my job. I'm not very frugal and I shouldn't be buying half of this stuff but I just finally want an upgrade.

      • Considering the wide range of products you’re chasing, why not pop down to a local JB and browse the range?
Take notes of what you like, go home, read some reviews then shop for the best prices.

        • Yeah i've done that recently and wrote some notes. There's not too much choice for phones the Pixel is what I like the most and I didn't have a preference of soundbars because I didn't really know the difference. I still plan to keep looking at alot of stuff before I buy.

  • Hard to beat this for bang for buck and quality.. go minimum 4gb/64gb and the B version which has B28.

    • Thank you, i'll check it out!

  • +1
    • Phone - Pixel 3, Samsung S9
    • TV - LG Oled
    • Soundbar - LG SK10Y
    • Computer Speakers - Amazon currently have these beauts on sale Klipsch R-15PM
    • Monitor - Depends if you're rocking Freesync or G-Sync but it's hard to go back after experiencing a 34" Ultrawide IPS monitor.
    • I was going to do my own list but realized it was exactly the same as yours (just not as complete).

So will just second your list.

    • Thanks for the list! I'm rocking G-Sync atm. I prefer 2 displays personally over one large monitor, and 2 34" would be too big for my desk. I found 27" to be the sweet spot although I guiess i'm not opposed to trying out a 34". Thanks again!

  • Depending on how much gaming you do on your TV, an OLED could suffer burn in (if the same image / part of an image is on the screen for a long period, you get a ghost image of the TV 'remembering' what was there as the pixels that are always on burn out sooner) and probably won't have the refresh rate of an LCD. Meanwhile for movies, a nice HDR OLED is preferable provided you have access to HDR media.

    • I think my use would probably be like 70% gaming, 20% Netflix, 10% movies streaming from my computer. I don't buy blu-ray discs. In saying that it sounds like an LCD would be preferable?

  • If you're leaning towards Android phone and TV I would def. consider get just getting decked out in anything Google assistant capable
