  • Which distro?

    • Ubuntu 18.04

      • +1

Plug the USB installer in. Boot to you SSD (NOT USB). Go to additional software, and additional drivers. It should let you install from there. Keep the installer USB plugged in though. Make sure you're connected via Ethernet too.

  • Not a linux person, barely have any real IT knowledge, but I can google and google says this:

    https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2364383

Honestly I don't understand half (90%) of what's on that page, maybe it'll make sense to you though. Good luck?

    • yeah i tried the solution on this page but ended in an error most likely coz it's for 16.04 and i'm running 18.04

  • google search: <<<If you press the wireless control button (which is F9 on my E420), a wireless control UI appears. It looks like this: From there, you can press either button to turn the wireless feature on or off. You can also click on 'Individual control' to turn on/off Wireless and Bluetooth separately.>>> Good luck

    • Yeah it's simple on windows but on linux it just pulls up the settings for wifi in which it says no wifi adapter found.
