And for the price of the Milk, you get to make a farmer suicide since 1.99$ is too cheap so yer, obviously this is gonna make them hang themselves!! If an independant fruiter can do it @ 1.49 why cant woolies/coles/aldi.
At $1.49, the store is definitely losing money on the milk. Raw milk costs $0.50 per litre (paid to the farmer), the bottle costs about 30c, the cap about 10c, the label is around 3c. When you add in the cost of processing, wastage, transport and refrigeration, the cost will be nearer the $2 mark.
