Very good price and i buy these all the time, but these are on special every two weeks or so:)

    • 16g protein.
    • Fibre
    • Low GI (Glycaemic Index (GI) value = 29).
    • High in calcium.
    • 10 essential vitamins & minerals.
    • No artificial colours.

Surely most of that can be said about milk on its own ;-)

What I want to know is what they put in this stuff that makes people toss the empty packet in the street

    • helps the people who pick up cans etc and return for deposit
and no, I don't condone littering.
      .

      • Totes cool. So I should Up & Chuck all my rubbish cos I'm helping charity by reducing the number of peepz needing help, yaaah

    • Popular with drug addicts who can't eat. Still getting 'some' sort of nutrients.

David Bowie used to drink full cream milk only when he was addicted to coke.

      • But that also surpresses appetite, so he didn't drink much and got very thin indeed.

If consuming 'Up & Go' Chuck instead, you'd get fat from all the sugar they fill it with.

  • The three-pack goes on special for $2 sometimes but I got some of these with the 10% off free delivery code they are running now.

    And 2% cows puss.

  • But the sugar per packet is pretty bad

    • Yeah I had to stop getting these… Now I wait for the reduced sugar UP&GO to go on sale, which happens almost as often as this sale. Still 10g of sugar in the reduced sugar ones though, so still kinda high. I stock up for those rare occasions where my boss offers me all of the shifts in one day and I don't technically have a real lunch break. I'm a sucker for money so I always say "yes please!".

The protein in these is soy and milk solids, which can give terrible gas. Soy protein is also not good for men particularly.

    • Where did you get your info from.

Of course if you take more than your daily recommended intake yes that might NOT be good to EITHER men and women.

  • Should also be $5 in QLD as of Nov 1st with the new container tax - right?

  • Yea the sugar is high should get a petition so they release energize with reduced sugar. I live a very active lifestyle, so these are fine for me. I use these as snacks between meals. Really good value and I used to carry a protein shaker to work, these make it easier on the go.
