TARGET 1000TC Cotton Bed Sheets Set Queen (2 Pillowcases and Fitted Sheet) for $59

130

Saw this in store today, it's similar to the deal they advertised this week http://goo.gl/QcdPH but without the flat sheet and $20 cheaper. Available in White, coffee, midnight, dusk, iced blue or pebble.
The store assistant told me this deal has been running for a week already so some colours are not in stock anymore (I was going after iced blue), quite surprised it wasn't posted in Ozbargain, seems like a good deal for 1000TC bed sheets.

Catalogue states this deal is not available in Target Country stores unless stated otherwise.

  • This is probably a dupe …

I had a look, the $79 set has been mentioned in the target massive home sale post. I don't think Target advertised the $59 set.

  • first time i have seen this! awesome.

  • I bought one of the full sheet sets from this deal on Sunday - it was $69 for the queen sheet set.
1000c - Cotten Sateen(whatever that means) Feels decent enough. Washed and trying them out tonight :)

    • washed first?! you've wasted a whole month's worth of using them!

      • I don't get it?

        • they were clean when you bought them. no need to wash, just throw them on your bed!

        a month??….
you some kind of Howard Hughes clean freak!!??
        ;)

    • Um, eww.

  • This is why you need to wash new sheets first-

    • well now you're just being informative. :P

although from that same link, this is why I don't normally wash sheets first:

"If you don't have an allergy or sensitive skin, then it really doesn't matter and you don't really have to wash the sheet."

I also don't wash tshirts, or jeans, etc…before first use. I do wash undies though before first use. that's one area I'm happy to err on the side of caution for!

  • I don't understand the reason for leaving out the flat sheet. What reason would people only want the fitted sheet and pillowcases?

    • i rarely make my bed to presentation standards and prefer not to use a loose bed sheet

      • I just use a doona with no flat sheet in winter. In summer I use the doona cover with no doona.

    • Flat sheet is a must with blankets, but I find it unnecessary when you use quilt and nice quilt cover.

  • Aldi have similar for $49

    • +1

Oh I was there too, $49 was for 400TC. This is 1000TC, that's 2.5 times more comfy for $10 more. Lol

      • hmmm….. as has been said before…. Thread Count is the 'contrast ratio' of manchester, ie means nothing

        • I thought it's more like pixel density? Thread/square cm

        • Oh.. that's why I always try to feel it and compare before buying. :D

Also, relatively speaking, advertised 1000TC is still better than advertised 400TC.
1000TC might only have 400TC in reality, but 400TC probably has 100TC. :D
