$53.39 for the AU version. Cheaper for other regions eg $AU49.79 for the EMEA region so it might be worth using a VPN?

Even as someone who loved Fallout 4 I would personally recommend waiting a few months before picking this up, or at the very least waiting for a price drop to $35 or below.

Agreed. I bought the Collectors Edition and returned it. I've never been more disappointed by a game/CE.

    • In a few month the online world will be a literal wasteland. There won't be any other people to help.

This game doesn't deserve the hate.
It a good fun game go buy it.
Ignore the haters. Most of them are biased single player gamers, don't listen to them.

It seems to run like a dog, it looks mediocre and it's boring.

I love Fallout series and I say this.

      • The game has its moments, but I totally agree that the bad outweighs the good in this case.
Hopefully, in time the game will improve with some much needed optimization and balance patches.

      Todd please go.

I’m a die hard fallout fan.
      I pre ordered the game,
I’ve ran into a few greifers.
No private servers - the idea of co-op was great, but it wasn’t a great idea making it constantly online.
The game is quite bland as well.

      Not really worth the $$

Loved F4, but I think the storylines and engagements were the pieces that made the bugs and clumsiness ok.
Now it's just robots, audios and people that follow you around, whittling away at your health until you get annoyed, shoot back and die.

    • I was 5 minutes into playing this game before I got stuck under a house due to a clipping bug. I was stuck there for two hours with no way to reset my location or kill myself. I restarted the game multiple times but it was always stuck in an area which I could not get out of. Thought I would need to wait till I died of thirst or something. Was so frustrated. Eventually I reset the game and a protectron was there and I let him beat me to death so I could be free. I was so frustrated and angry at the game and I still think its great and I'm enjoying it (now).

  • Do I need to play Fallout 5 through to 75 to enjoy this one?

    • -1

You could play every single game Bethesda has ever released, and NONE of them will help you "enjoy this one".

It's going to get this year's award for most disappointing game release for sure.
Highly anticipated from a developer renowned for quality work. But they mailed this one in and have done themselves a great disservice.
It used to be that if Bethesda stamped their name on something, it was going to be great. Not anymore.

If anyone is seriously considering buying this game, wait for it to drop to around $20… which won't be long.
There's some people who've posted above saying "ignore the haters". I strongly suggest you don't. It truly is horrible.

      • +1

Not perfect, has it bugs, but far from horrible.
Do you even own the game.
Most hater review from people who haven't even played it, just hating cause it multiplayer.
        Which is sad.

        • I've been playing Bethesda games since the earliest Elder Scrolls and Fallout games, and was foolish enough to buy this one too - pre-order on the basis of Bethesda's track record. Never again.

If you'd played ANY of their previous games, you wouldn't be defending F76 so staunchly.

Bugs I can handle, they can be fixed with patches. The game itself here is flawed.

They had an awesome opportunity to make this into a truly epic massive multiplayer universe… to really work with a very successful lore within in the Fallout realm for years to come. When they can make something like Elder Scrolls online (which to be honest wasn't 10/10 but still very good), and then to release this junk like a rookie developer with no concept of telling a story well…. that just smacks of complacency and chasing the almighty dollar and release date.

These "hater" reviews you speak of aren't just off random people… they are also respected gaming review sites. All virtually smash this… deservedly so.

          • @UFO: Man just quit it. I played 15 hours and enjoying it.
Game may not be to your liking. But it far from horrible.

@neostarsx: I'm glad you're enjoying it neostarsx, at least someone is.

              Good luck in your adventures.
