Qantas Club - Complimentary Pass

Hi OzB,

Have my parents travelling on a long journey with interconnection flights - I wanted to know would I need to give them two passes for each of them to access, or does the pass allow an additional guest. I assume it’s a no based on the following (but wanted to check if anyone has had experience to the contrary);

Complimentary invitations are a single-entry invitation for one person to access a Qantas Club or Qantas-operated International Business Lounge when their next onward flight that day is on a flight with a Qantas or Jetstar flight number.

Cheers!

    one person per pass

  • I can confirm complimentary invitations are single entry only. one invitation = one person. Does not allow additional guest.

  • One pass per person per lounge, so since you said "interconnection flights" then you would need four for the entire trip.

    That said, if you don't have four, then tell us which route they are going so we can suggest which lounge is 'better' to use the passes for.

  • Thanks all! Thought that may be the case.

    Longest stop is in Cairns so they will use it for that, next flight after is only 45 mins, so can go without. I’ll just make sure to send them four passes to cover them for their return as well.

  • Wait, so does that mean you can gift your club lounge passes to a family member even if you are not flying with them?

    • Yes, that’s correct you can gift the electronic complimentary passes. you can just send to a friend or family by using their FF number, unlike points transfer I don’t think it asks a relationship; been a while since I did it so could be mistaken.
