Wall Mount for Sony X9000F 75inch

Like quite a few people, I picked up a new TV during the recent sales. I am looking to wall mount the TV but have never done anything like that before.

I am looking to mount a Sony X9000F 75 Inch which has VESA Pitch 400mm x 300mm and weight around 35kg. I am unsure about the amount of wall clearance needed behind the TV.

Looking around on Ebay, I am having a lot of difficulty working out what I need. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Sony make a specific mount for that TV but costs $299 https://www.sony.com.au/electronics/tvs-accessories/su-wl500

  • Damn, saw a 65 inch in a cafe store and thought that was massive, but a 75 inch how big is your living room

    • Small lol. I am sitting 2.6meters away from the TV

  • Sorry a little off topic, OP are you happy with your TV?
    Cheers

    • Would not know actually. It is still 5 days away from delivery. It is a blank wall there right now haha

      • Oh lol, anyway congrats on your purchase. I bet you can't wait to enjoy it!!
I believe the X90F series are pretty good considering it is one of the best LCD/LED TV's on the market
        Cheers

  • I bought the slim Kogan mount for my 70” LG around 30kg.

No complaints. It’s very close to the wall though so be warned.

  • If you don't mind non Sony, go JBhifi and buy their heavy duty wall mount that takes 80" and up to 60kg.

Bought it for $120 for my 85x8500f but my vesa mount is 400x400 abit different from yours.

  • Here is an installation guide of how to unbox your tv lolz.

I’m currently looking for one as well. Was going to go with this Kogan but worried that it’s macimum weight is the same as the tv at 35kg

Otherwise I was going to go for the one at JB Hi-Fi

The tv is amazing only problem I have is sometimes it doesn’t to sync with my sound bar.

    • I had a look at the JB Hifi one as well. Do you have the 75inch? Because it looks like the 400x300 mount is not supported. Or is it a sliding scale that will fit all in between?

Edit: Just thought about my own question and realised how dumb I am being. It fits 400x400 and fits 300x300. So it will definitely fit 400x300 lol

      • Let me know what you go with.

Are you going to fit the mount yourself or have someone do it for you?

If you do it yourself, make sure it is securely fastened to the wall studs, don't go and buy those plasterboard screws rated to xxx kg thinking they will suffice, they are OK as secondary fastenings, but there needs to be a large bolt or two into a solid backing.
