Quality Kids Trampoline

Can anyone recommend a quality 10ft trampoline that won't fall apart after 5 years. Seen some of the ones under $200 from BigW but just not sure of the overall quality.

Thanks

  • Great quality, easy to buy quality replacements for wearing parts like the protective pad. Had ours for five years and it is still going great. Did have to replace the pad but that’s because I have little ones and moved it and it could have really gone a bit longer without but I wanted it to look nice for our new place. https://www.jumpstartrampolines.com.au

    • My K-mart/BigW trampoline was OK, frame and mat at least, until eventually the stitching in mat started to go after six years.

But the replacement mat from Jumpstar lasted little more than a year before it started tearing.

The netting, and spring cover maybe 3 years before falling apart from UV.
The foam covers on the poles were a bad idea, as they trapped water, causing corrosion. And had no UV protection.

If you are going to leave a trampoline in the sun and rain all year, 5 years is doing well.

      • I haven’t had any issues with our netting or the poles or the springs or the mat. I’m very surprised your mat was tearing after so little use. I’m in Perth, so it is possible that the weather is different. Sun is the main issue with wear, for us. Anyway, I’ve been really happy with it.

If you want quality then Springfree are probably the best, Vuly probably second but neither are cheap, I highly doubt the trampolines that are sub $200 will last anywhere near 5 years without needing half of it replaced at least once.

Super expensive, and don't bounce well compared to proper steel springs.

  • Springfree - ours will be 7 years old soon and still the same as it was when purchased. All my kids friends ask their parents for a Springfree after jumping on ours. Yes they are expensive compared to your normal run of the mill ones - but quality that lasts and an investment well worthwhile.

  • Thanks all. Ours will be in direct sunlight all day. Happy to pay extra to get a better quality product that we don't need to keep replacing such as the pads. I'll check out the jumpstart and jumpflex which seems to get good feedback.

  • Hoping for any black friday specials also 😊

  • our first trampoline was a Target 12' model -~$250. the safety netting lasted 15 months before UV affected it and it failed. rang the company and they sent a replace net and spring padding.

that lasted 2 years. by then the were old enough to know that "landing on springs=bad" <—-kids learn that lesson very fast.

at the 4 year mark the mat developed a tear.

then looked on gumtree and bought an identical used trampoline for $30. that one was sold 2 months ago after 3 years of further use.

the number of used trampolines on facebook + gumtree is high. bargains to be had

as an owner of 2 trampoline, and parent of 3 kids - buy an inexpensive trampoline and replace when necessary
