Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact or XZ2 Compact in Black

The mrs Z5 compact is getting a bit old now and she wants a powerful small phone. Yeah, great!

It seems sony is the only game in town now, as she basically wants a 2015 sized phone with 2017/18 hardware in it!

As far as I can see, she would cope with the XZ1 or XZ2 compact in black, but where to find a bargain one?

Catch seems to have them cheap'ish' via TechinSEA seller but if that's from overseas is Catch's price inclusive of 10% GST or extra sting?

Anyone know of a decent seller of xperias that might have good prices on the compact models?

      not on everything, the do the xz2 compact with $100 off list ($849) but no xz1 compact. Is $849 the current best deal for this then?.

        bought one of the hong kong ones for 640 + 15% off on ebay few days ago, came down to 544. Just got it today. Because they were a australian store i didnt get charged the 10% GST. Be weary though when you first start the phone it's in Cantonese/Mandarin. Had to use a translator until i got to settings and changed the region and language

        Looks amazing only just skimmed through it and installed apps, won't be using it until i get my screen protector.

        But so far, screen and sound is perfect.

        My only complaint is it feels heavier than it looks for its compact size. The wifes Iphone X althought bigger weighs less.

          Which seller di you use for that? That's a great price, I take it no local warranty? I can live with Cantonese, could ask someone at work to set it up for me! lol.

          I don't mind spending $849 on the Mrs main present, but if I can get the same for $544, well, that's the ozbargainers creed!

            @seraphim2017: You'd have to check ebay, i bought mine from MyMobile Group, they offered 1 year warranty even though its an overseas model, so i guess thats piece of mind I'll be doing tests on it this arvo looking for dead pixels etc.

            Looking on ebay looks like mymobile sold out their sock there are other sellers, but you'd have to wait for another ebay sale anyways. You missed the 15% off sale.

            I guess you can buy it off Catch, I would assume they would offer a 1 year warranty as well as you can find discounts for catch.
