      No catches mate. You are correct that the sims dont have an expiry so can be activated anytime but the plan you activate on has an expiry.

          If you are on a contract with Vodafone then you just need to call them and change from postpaid to prepaid.

          If you are with another network then you can surely buy this now and activate in May as the sim card doesnt have any expiry date.

      You are right. If you currently with Vodafone then this is not the right product for you. Its best for customers coming across from other carriers. So yes if you port out to another network and then come back you can use it.

      V or U has this expiry date and for how long? All mine has only manufacture date and no expiry date written on them..

        Look on the back of the pack for the activation key, look closely at the letter in front… V or U

        I cannot remember a time when voda starter packs ever had an expiry date stated/ written on the pack so cellmate is correct in saying that "these sims dont have any expiry date" [ meaning written on the pack?]

        BUT

        If the letter is U i would be wary and not wait for a year or two before activating.

        A letter V in front of the activation key is much safer for waiting before activation and probably means the pack is older

        Please just be aware…

    The latest packs i looked at in woolworths today dec 8 2018 do not have the activation key visible on the rear of the pack so we cannot check if it is a "V" [or a "U"]

    Are these safe to buy?

    The price looks too good to be true.

    I spoke to one of the eBay sellers on the phone. They told me they could get it down to $11 for the $40 voda sim because it was bought with a stolen CC. They said they would not take responsibility if Vodafone decided to deactivate the sims, but that it was a rare occurrence.

    Is there anyway for you to show these are sourced legitimately?
