I can’t get this game on steam? It’s a DRM free game

    • It can be added as a non steam game but thats just adding a shortcut to steam. It works well but doesnt receive any updates from steam, this game is old now and most likely wont receive any more updates.

  • Very cool, cheers OP

This does not give a Steam key. It is purely a DRM-free download for a limited time.

I never end up downloading those, lol.

  • sorry about the Steam confusion - I didn't check it properly

  • Apparently a remake of a 90s classic - I vaguely remember the game at the time but never played it. History will probably repeat itself given my back catalogue of games to finish!

Original was a good game. But it hasn't held up. And when you remake a game that doesn't hold up, your remake doesn't hold up either. The remake was panned critically.

      • Not so sure what you say about its reception is right.

Rated very positive on Steam and a lot of people seem to like it a lot. It does not look as if it was panned at all - there are certainly thousands of games on Steam and elsewhere that are a lot worse.

User reviews have no relevance to me. You don't even need to play the game to write a review. It's very open to abuse. You get Xbots giving PS4 games review scores of 0, and the Xbox games all getting 10s. Same happens in retaliation in reverse.

          https://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/outcast-second…

What you're doing is cherry picking. PC Gamer gave it 82% which is decent, but the metacritic average is 68% for PC. 4 out of 13 gave it green (good) and 9 game it yellow (mixed). 68% for me is critically panned. The console versions did even worse. It's certainly not "very positive" if you limit the scores to professional reviewers.

          • @lostn: True but that's a lot of people and different sources. Hardly worth the effort for such a low budget title.
If it was the next COD or Battlefield where it makes a huge differences I would be more inclined to be suspicious.
But given what's out there I think it is a bit strong to say that the critics panned it.

  • OP might want to include a PC game tag, couldn't see this deal til I search for Humble Bundle specifically.
