Went in to find a Lego car for my daughter to build while I toil away at the GT3. Ended up getting her the "919 Hybrid" Porsche kit.

While I was there, a guy was putting up a heap of boxes of the Rally Car 42077 kits. Price was $30 off. I’m not sure if this is some part of a toys catalogue or if it is this store only. Seems like a pretty good sized kit for $119 from a retail location that you can get today.

From the amount of kits he was putting up on display, it looks like someone may have over ordered them. There was about 10+ in store @ Singleton, NSW. Your store may have some, none, or not on sale.

Amazon price is about $140
Ebay from Target is $129 (+ any 10% off code? Most other sellers didn’t have enough stock to make a post about it.)

Is it just me or is this year's Lego kits a bit uninteresting?

They are a bit… meh. Last great kit I felt was the Bucket Wheel Reclaimer kit. It was a massive kit and a massively long build. The GT3 is nice so far. I think the Bugatti Chiron would be fun. But outside that…

I did enjoy the Mack truck build. But the kit itself is bland. Just lots and lots of grey.

At least this kit for the Rally Car is nice and colourful. Good for kids.

    • I feel the same about the Ideas range.

      Ship in a bottle? Meh.
      Pop up book? Meh.
      Women of NASA? Meh.

Maybe next year there’ll be sets to inspire me.

It's $119 online so I would assume it's nation wide (I have had stores refuse to price match their own online price before though).

I haven't like much of the Technic stuff this year bar the Chiron but the Ideas stuff like Voltron and the pop up book look good

Oh, I saw the Voltron set at the airport in Singapore and almost pulled the trigger on that set… until I saw it was -GST, + Airport duty free idiot tax…

    • In the recent(-ish) Lego Dimensions sale a Big W store manager refused to price match the Xbox 360 Starter Kit with EB Games' price ($5 cheaper) because, he said, "It's already reduced!"
It was $25 at Big W, I got it a week later for $5 from Target.

Got 1 from Big W Macquarie Centre, it's not marked as 30 off but it scanned as 119.

    Good buy.
