New Hisense OLED Series - Welcome to The Party

Hi All,

I notice from JB Hifi the (probably) first Hisense OLED TVs are now available for sale:

55 inch model - $2,495

65 inch model - $3,995

I dream to have an 65" OLED when its price reaches the $2k mark. Given Hisense's past price trend, hopefully it will happen in near future.

Cheers,

    Rebadged LG TVs.
Unlikely to see much of a price drop as pricing is semi controlled by what lg sells the units to Hisense for.

    • Are they really rebadged?

In that article, they're discussing the display tech, not rebadging. All OLED players use LG displays, Panasonic, Sony, now Hisense, but that doesn't mean they're rebadged.

Chose to wrong word, but apparently LG is charging a pretty penny for the panels.. so i doubt they will go below 2K (which was the point of my comment)

        • Cool, good to know :) Agree with the LG charging a pretty penny sentiment though!

    • No, they not rebadged, just the panel. Software and other component from Hisense.

I'm gonna get the 55" if it goes under $1900 during boxing day sales. Or 65" if it magically reaches $2800-2900.

    • 65” now around $2300. (Plot10 eBay code). I’m waiting for under 2k.

      • You might as well, I can't find a person who has bought one that can give an honest review. Seems like literally no one is buying them.

I think any 65"OLED at $2300 is as cheap as they come.
