Anyone being to this place? seems very expensive for steak.
I cant seem to work out how they came up with the fact its worth $198
unless i can order the 2 serves of 1kg pork spare ribs for entrees
(would be good for lunch the next day)

  • Most expensive Entree + $55 steaks + most expensive wines should just about hit $198.

  • Any main meal or entrée can be selected, EXCLUDING the 1 Kilo Entrée Ribs AND entrée platter. The one kilo ribs can only be selected if the two diners share this as an entrée

    2 entrees $55 ($27.50x2)
    2 mains $110($55x2)
So their most expensive glass of wine is likely $198-$165 = $33 or $16.50 each

Maybe a bit more expensive then average for a steak but keep in mind the Rockpool's steaks are $110 each.

    • is that on the menu or all their steaks are "rockpool's steaks"
i saw that in the ad but dont see $110 steak on the menu.
also the $55 one is only a 300g steak.

Has anyone being to this place before? does the steak taste different?
cause i know most nice resturant have gain feed steaks

      • Uh no as in Neil Perry's Rockpool restaurant In Southbank, separate restaurant. $110 is the wagyu steak. Best steak I've ever had in Melbourne.

300 grams is typical for an eye fillet. The bigger the steak the lower the quality (aka different part of the cow), rather eye fillet is best and rump is good.
