The Lagavulin Distiller edition is matured in a sherry cask, you can't really compare at all, it's a different flavour completely.
Ardbeg and Lagavulin are my 2 favourites

Super peatey (smokey) Islay scotch. One of my faves but it a personal taste thing.
Definitely not everyones cup of tea, gave this as a gift to a mate, hated it, six months later he came back and said it's actually nice… takes time and patience.

@Whodis: Interesting picks. Clearly into sweet whiskies, so yea makes sense you don't like this one. Weird that you just blurt out your own personal taste saying this tastes like trash, but it's actually a fantastic whisky, you just don't like it.
