[Switch] Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle $28 (Was $89.95) @ EB Games

830

Cheapest I’ve seen this game. $3.50 shipping as I couldn’t find any stores near me that had click and collect. JB will price match but again stock levels were an issue

  • You forgot the actual price in title :/

    Edit: Ah just beat me!

  • I enjoyed it more than mario odyssey.

It works really well to just chill out, and play some of this, no stress because turn based.

Oh good we’ve added this to the Santa stocking for the kids :)

    • It's basically Xcom but with Mario and Co.

      • And more challenging than you would expect

  • So the game is worth it for $28?

    • +4

It's a great game, I enjoyed it way more than I expected I would.

Game was worth it at full retail price. For $28, it's a steal!

I played it for like half an hour, then listed it on eBay.

  • Delivery not available for me? And nearest click and collect is hundreds of km's away, with these stores only 1/1 available stock each.

    • Same here. It's crazy.

      • How weird I’m in Vic and they were all regional stores with stock but I still got it delivered

      • Not quite as cheap - works out to about 5AUD more after conversion - but it's 60% off on the US estore at the moment. They've got the Gold edition with the Season pass too for a bit more.

        • Do you just have 2 accounts set up on the same system and use that?

          • +1

@cc23: Yup, it's a lot more user friendly than something like the PSN too, when accessing the store a screen literally comes up asking you which account you want to use to browse etc.

The only thing is that you'll probably need to redeem and use USD Eshop cards from Amazon or other retailers; I've yet to discover a way to just directly buy from an Aussie Paypal/CC

            • @Stoibs: I hate the nintendo online purchasing systems so much from the 3DS days of fragmented accounts. But you have found it ok?

              • @cc23: I don't really have much to compare it to, never had any previous nintendo system, well nothing with online/store integration anyway.

Not the cheapest it's been. Was at Amazon for $28 and you'd also get at least 8% cashback

      Relax jv

  • If you do buy this, dont forget to claim nintendo coins as it will be based on original price, not $29

    • +3

you cant claim coins on it anymore, game was released more than 12 months ago

      • Probably not with the effort but you could try creating a European/South African account, they get 24 months.

    • how do I claim coins from physical game? I think I've been getting coins from the eshop but I didn't know it applies with the physical purchases too. Thanks.

      • Highlight it in your home screen and press +

MyNintendo Rewards Program (or similar) is one of the options in the menu that appears. It’ll prompt you to select which profile you want the coins credited to if you have more than one.

  • Thx Op. None left for delivery and only 1 left at a couple stores near me on the northside of brisbane. I got the last one at D'Bay.

      at D'Bay

  • Good price but delivery no longer available and only appears to be one available per store at all the rural stores now.

  • Get this or the updated version??

    • +1

the GOLD version has the expansion in thats all .. you can buy that through the estore - actually I think the Gold version just comes with a download code for that exact thing anyway.

    • +1

It’s not an updated version, it’s a gold (complete) edition, with all the DLC.

Which version you want depends whether you want the complete thing, with the extra Donkey Kong chapter, or whether you’re happy with just the base game.

Personally I would grab the Gold Edition, because I love it, and definitely want the DLC for more of a good thing. But the base game might be enough for some people.

If you think you MiGHT want the DLC, then I would definitely recommend the Gold - the DLC is $30, and never goes on deep discount, so the Gold Edition is currently the only way to get the DLC for a good price!

      • +1

Yer the Gold Edition is $47 atm I think

        • It's 31 on the US store (or was). Which is about 42 AUD. That's the version I got.

        • Is the DLC on the cart or is it a download code on the Gold version?

      • Are you waiting for a discount? Is there a way to get notified if the eShop DLC price drops?

        • Yeah, I have the base game, and waiting for the DLC to drop (to $10-$15…will probably be a while!) :(

I believe you can sign up for notifications on some websites, like dekudeals, but I check the sales frequently (every couple of days), so I don’t even bother.

I got excited for a second hoping they had stock again. I ordered this from EB Friday night for click and collect as had just missed the Amazon deal. EB cancelled my order Saturday morning claiming no stock. By then no stores in Sydney metro had stock. I've been refreshing OzBargain since waiting for a deal to appear :(

  • +1

Just ordered one click.and collect from Bairnsdale in rural Vic - here is hoping I don't get a cancellation email tomorrow morning… fingers crossed!

    • Email that it's ready for collection - yay!

  • Any folks in Melbourne been able to price match at jb?

  • +2

I ordered this through click & collect and received the Gold Edition by, what I'm assuming, accident. Good times
