Damn you actually have to subscribe to these YouTube Channels to continue. Don't really want to link my YT account.

Yeah i hate those the worst too. I dont mind twitter/insta being full of junk but i actually use YouTube :/

      • I finally relented and set up a comp-only Twitter recently - but I've had a comping YT for ages 😂

      • I made a YouTube account with my throwaway email address just to enter these.

    • It seems to me that on most of the Gleam comps you don't actually have to subscribe. You just click on the button that loads the YouTube app/page, then return to the Gleam page without actually clicking Subscribe, click Continue, and Gleam will award you the point(s).

      • yeah you dont HAVE to.. but we've had this discussion on this site before: apparently sometimes winners have been drawn, their subsbriptions checked and they've lost prizes because they didnt actually subscribe. So you dont HAVE to sub but you do so at your own risk.

        • Mmm that was a concern of mine. On a related note, what do you think about this?: those comps where it's optional to sign up for the newsletter. I'm worried that even though you can submit the entry form, that somewhere in the T&C is a condition that you need to be signed up to the newsletter to be eligible.

          • @raph89: I think some of them do have that condition: must be subscribed at the time of draw etc so yeah that's another one that's kinda so-so

im not real sure what the answer is, i kinda wonder what the others do. Maybe we should make a guide to entering comps somewhere on the site that covers all these issues, or at least a forum topic for it. Cos yeah i really dont know that the best way to go is if im honest.

            • @Iggemo: @Igemmo yeah I have recently changed to ticking the subscribe box, even if it's optional.

And yeah I would love to see a guide for entering comps. Would be great to share tips and learn from everyone… Where is the appropriate place to post it?
