So I've taken the plunge and bought an iPhone XS 64GB. Need to buy a case for it now, and it's a minefield.
What are people finding in terms of getting a nice slimmish case combined with getting decent drop protection also? Any cases proving popular in particular?
I've been a loyal Apple genuine leather case up to iPhone 8 plus (haven't upgraded since). It feels great, the leather also age nicely. It does have opening at the bottom which I was initially concerned about but I've dropped my phone a few times and never had any problem. I think you have be really unlucky to drop it at the right angle to a sharp object to knock at the open edge. Btw, I also put a glass protector which helps protect the screen.
I recommend these guys - the cases are well made with good leather. They are having a 40% off at the moment. It is in US dollars.
Have always recommended Tech21 and that won’t change. Unless a case has shock protection then it’s just a glorified scratch protector, effectively. Cases like those leather ones look nice but won’t do much to prevent shattering of the front or rear glass.

Was looking at Tech21 but online reviews for their iPhone XS cases were pretty mixed, more so in terms of fit.
Which one did you go with?
one option is to get a quad lock case with mounts for whatever, car, bike etc.
