I won't pick this up, because it would go right to the backlog till at least after Xmas when it could end up cheaper still.

But I'm kind of interested. I didn't play the original, is it required for this one, or is each installment standalone? It's produced by/with Studio Ghibli right? I've always wanted a Ghibli videogame.

Yes, I could google all of this, but here we are.

      It’s stand alone

I don't know but if you still have your ps3, i would play the first one, i hear that the story/narrative is more flesh out than the sequel.

      • The first game was amazing, this was a big letdown. Pretty sure Ghibil had nothing to do with this one but they did with the first.

I'll wait for it to become $20 or less. The current backlog is insane

    • Same, Pokémon, Spider-Man, God of War and a lot others then Smash next week… I’ll be busy for a while.

Such AAA games would unlikely have hit these price lows. It'd take 2 or so years until you saw EB slashing it to near $30. We definitely have Amazon to thank for keeping retailers honest.

I was saying this to a friend recently that I haven’t seen such deep discounts on recent physical titles in a long time.

They just price match with online and brick/mortar stores lol. I can't confirm the timeline but it's more likely that Target was selling it for 29 first.

Amazon deliver a sealed copy to my door usually within 3-4 days and with cashback it's the superior deal. The nearest Target to me is also a 30km drive so the choice is easy really.

  • I haven't played games for ages but bought this on the weekend…absolutely loving it!

Bought @JB, still don't know what the steelbook is for..ahah
