Buy a Pair of Economy Tickets (Shanghai/Tokyo/Hong Kong and Others) on Air NZ from Auckland, Get Skycouch for $1 Extra (Feb-Jun)

120

Buy two economy class tickets to one of several destinations, and for $1 get Skycouch included. New bookings only.

Skycouch is an AirNZ innovation - from https://www.airnewzealand.co.nz/economy-skycouch :

So what is an Economy Skycouchâ„¢ exactly? It's simple. Imagine a row of Economy seats that can be turned into a couch after takeoff. So you and your friend or family member can stretch out. Clever, right? Comfy, too. It's so flexible it can be used as seating, a couch or even a play area. You'll also get some lovely bedding and pillows. It's a world first.

A lot of people ask us if they're going to end up sharing their Economy Skycouch with a stranger. The answer is 'no'. When you upgrade to an Economy Skycouch, you get the entire row to yourself. It's totally private.

  • Isn't this really more for ChoiceCheapies?

    • I wondered that, but if I was going to South America, I'd consider flying to AKL on Jetstar, then doing this deal. Nice and comfortable lie flat for the long haul!

It's fairly common for people to fly to NZ before say, Chile, Argentina (eg LATAM, Air NZ deals). This offers a deal for getting great seats.

Given it's cheaper to fly from Melbourne via Auckland to Chile on the same plane, I'm not sure that makes any sense.

        • The skycouch isn't available for this deal on MEL to SCL, as far as I'm aware.

  • Not worth for listed destinations. But South America..maybe yea

    • Couldnt find the list can you post the link please to the destination

    Do people bang on those?

    • Absolutely not.

    • Nope - that's what the toilets are for.

  • How will the seat belts work? Airlines are usually anal about people putting on their seatbelts
